• LEGISLATIVE NOTES: Same Day Registration bill PASSED THE HOUSE! SB195 / H91 is in the Senate right now, and has been referred to the Select Committee on Government and Election Reform, where it is STUCK. Sen Katie Dorsett is a co-sponsor of the Bill. Be sure to THANK Sen Dorsett! Contact the committee members to get this bill out of committee, to the full Senate and PASSED by 4 July break so it can be tested in municipal elections of 2007.
There is also a bill regarding divestment from Sudan in response to the ongoing genocide in Darfur. The bill passed the House [check your Rep’s vote, drop a note], and is now in the Senate, having been referred to the Committee on Commerce, Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
