  • Same Day Registration bill PASSED THE HOUSE! SB195 / H91 is in the Senate right now, and has been referred to the Select Committee on Government and Election Reform, where it is STUCK. Contact the committee members to get this bill out of committee, to the full Senate and PASSED by 4 July break so it can be tested in municipal elections of 2007.
    There is also a bill regarding divestment from Sudan in response to the ongoing genocide in Darfur. The bill passed the House [check your Rep’s vote, drop a note], and is now in the Senate, having been referred to the Committee on Commerce, Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
  • Our current focus is on community outreach — meaningful and useful ways to involve and inform all citizens, particularly those who might be “wavering” or uncertain where they stand politically.
