  • 13 Jan 2007 – 5th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr Parade, N Main St, High Point!
    It was a beautiful day for a parade and many High Point citizens lined Main Street! Sondra and Jack and Kirby passed out HPDiA bookmarks with our Mission Statement & voter information and spoke with many on the streets. Kirby's convertible again marked our presence; thanks to Stan & Kay for their sidewalk outreach!
  • Democratic Headquarters in High Point — a KEY to SUCCESS! We held an open house and met many new, awesome volunteers! [thanks to Bob H for the photos!]

  • DEMs Fired Up! Another event at the Lake [held October 15] drew about 75 DEMs, ready to paint Guilford BLUE! We celebrated the registration of more than 50 new voters during the fall! Great Start!

  • It’s Organizing Season! We have ALL organized High Point Precincts! This is GRASS ROOTS work! Vote by Vote, Person by Person, Precinct by Precinct. Get out and meet your neighbors! Register Voters. Plan a get-together. Here are some great Precinct Organizing Tools and Info, including downloadable / printable postcards and doorhangers. There are also great tips for going out on a canvass as well as sample seripts. You’ll find all the tools you need! If you’re not sure about your Precinct, go here for a great Precinct mapping tool. Let’s get ACTIVE!

    Deadline for Voter Registration is 13 Oct. Early voting begins Thursday, 19 Oct through Saturday 4 Nov. Election Day is Tuesday, 7 November. Download a PDF file* [already reversed] to print on a t-shirt transfer to help register voters. Carry voter registration cards [available at Board of Elections, downtown Courthouse]. **Record info of Democrat registrants for future contact.** Build the Base!   • Martin Luther King, Jr. parade through downtown High Point, 14 January 2006. Our small contingency had a strong presence, welcomed by the parade-goers! We passed out our bookmarks and visited with many folk along thr parade route.
